Trust Wallet’s latest update adds support for credit and debit card payments, providing users with access to 17 blockchains and hundreds of DApps.
SAN FRANCISCO––March 12, 2019––Trust Wallet, the secure multi-cryptocurrency wallet and official wallet of Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, today released support for credit card payments for cryptocurrency. This new payments option is accompanied by Trust Wallet’s support for Ripple’s XRP, which users can now receive, send, store and exchange.
By integrating XRP, the third largest cryptocurrency by market cap, Trust Wallet now supports 17 blockchains and provides users with access to hundreds of DApps via its Web3 browser. Trust Wallet users can also purchase XRP, BTC, BCH, LTC and ETH with major credit and debit cards through its integration with payment processing company Simplex.
The recent launch of Trust Wallet Core, an open-source cross-platform wallet library, further brings together the blockchain community by enabling developers to easily build DApps and wallets natively, without worrying about low-level implementation details.
“We want to increase access to crypto and decentralized applications for all users,” said Viktor Radchenko, Founder of Binance’s Trust Wallet. “Adding credit card payments is one piece to furthering cryptocurrency adoption and realizing our larger vision in helping to bring the freedom of money, and we will continue to integrate more blockchains and features to Trust. Our recent open-sourcing of Trust Wallet Core also makes it easy for developers to integrate new blockchains and we encourage everyone to check out the library.”
Acquired by Binance in July 2018, Trust Wallet has expanded from best-in-class Ethereum wallet to multi-coin wallet, enabling users to smoothly navigate between multiple blockchains, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, TRON and Dash.
Known for its security and quality user experience, Trust Wallet will be a native wallet to the upcoming Binance DEX, a decentralized exchange built on the new Binance Chain blockchain that is expected to launch in early Q2 of 2019.
